+## Update: 05:48 PT (2026-07-24) — reposition, founder story, full imagery, Grok fix, AI service (coming soon)
+
+### Summary
+Continued the v2 build far past the initial multipage version. Repositioned the core messaging (the "we charge the same whether it breaks or not" line was false since GPS Basic is break/fix), rewrote the About origin into Mike's real founder story, corrected the radio number, fixed the Grok CLI, ran a full 3-AI art-directed imagery build-out across the whole site (with an owner-feedback fix round), documented a hero-image strategy, added the next-phases roadmap (AI Consultant + SEO), and scoped + built the AI Consulting service, then set it to "Coming Soon" pending owner sign-off.
+
+### Key Decisions
+- **Reposition:** dropped "charge the same whether it breaks or not"; new manifesto **"No games, no padded bills, just better IT"** (Gemini's pick over "we do it better"). Accountability lives in the voice, not a formal guarantee. Break/fix owned openly ("your call, same team either way"). Softened "old break-fix model" so break/fix is not disparaged.
+- **About = Mike's real founder story** ("Both" voice: company narrative + an attributed first-person pull-quote). Generalized specifics per Mike (a county agency at 17, dad "in the chip business", no employer/company names). Villain reframed to the BS *way* IT is done, not break/fix. Radio show grounded in its real "counter the wrong answers on air" origin.
+- **All-3-AI art direction:** Claude curates, Grok (grok-4.5) generates, Gemini (agy) reviews each. Treatment **mix**: heavy `.frame--duo` for infra/landscape, light `.frame--duo-soft` (real photo shows) for people/scene shots. Per-slot aspect: **21/7** page-head banners, **4/5** portrait story figures.
+- **AI Consultant service scoped:** all 4 pillars (Train/Advise/Build/Govern), BOTH audiences, MIX packaging (workshop → vCAIO retainer → project), co-equal placement. Credibility grounded in the real ~2-year internal-first AI experience (caution = the proof). Set **Coming Soon** per Mike; full draft preserved.
+
+### Problems Encountered
+- **Grok empty output** = stale `-m grok-build` pin (unknown model id in CLI 0.2.111); Grok self-fixed the pin to `grok-4.5`. Verified text + image gen.
+- **Image aspect mismatch** — 1.5 landscape gen cropped badly in the 21/7 + 4/5 frames; fixed by generating each image at its slot's aspect (the Contact fix surfaced this).
+- **Persistent ff-profile caches stale css/js** (recurring) — always verify with a fresh `FF_PROFILE` temp dir, not `?cb=` on the page URL.
+- **Owner image feedback** — 3-hand cabling (re-rolled hands-free), dirty-ceiling AP (clean re-roll), and 4 nature "LIGHT" shots swapped for on-topic IT imagery (vintage-80s computer/ROOTS, offsite drives/COPIES, roadmap/ROADMAP, server LEDs/UPTIME) + caption fixes.
+- **Grok image_to_video** returns no artifact (hero video deferred, logged to errorlog).
+
+### Configuration Changes
+- Messaging: `v2/index.html` (manifesto band), `v2/about.html` (origin + meta + founder pull-quote), `v2/managed-it.html` (pull quote + "old break-fix" softened).
+- Radio number `520-790-2020` -> `520-790-2040` across all 14 pages.
+- Imagery: 27 new page-relevant assets, every page's `` src/alt/caption/frame-class, `v2/css/v2.css` (new `.frame--duo-soft`).
+- New docs: `v2/HERO-STRATEGY.md`, `v2/AI-SERVICE-SCOPE.md`; `TODO.md` (+ AI Consultant + SEO next phases, hero series).
+- AI service: `v2/ai-consulting.html` (now a Coming Soon teaser), `v2/ai-consulting-draft.html` (full build preserved for later), `assets/ai-workshop.png` + `assets/ai-desk.png`; `index.html` + `services.html` AI cards -> "COMING SOON".
+- Grok skill: model pin -> `grok-4.5`; `HEADLESS.md` + `PEER_GUIDE.md` added (Grok-authored).
+- Memory: `project_acg_founder_story.md` (founder story + ethos).
+
+### Pending / Incomplete Tasks
+- **AI Consulting** — finish + un-hide (draft ready) once Mike confirms the "why us" accuracy and sets pricing (currently consult-first).
+- **SEO strategy** (next phase) — location pages, Google Business Profile, local content engine (forum/radio), local schema; needs its own plan doc.
+- **Hero image series** — seasonal set / highlight slider (strategy documented); generate spring/fall/winter + selector.
+- Contact form -> real mailbox; prune orphaned old image assets; production DNS/hosting cutover to azcomputerguru.com. Hero video retry when a working tool exists.
+
+### Reference Information

+# AI Consultant Service — Scope (build-ready)
+
+> Scoped with Mike 2026-07-23. A new **co-equal service** on azcomputerguru.com.
+> Positioning throughline: **the honest guide who cuts through the AI hype** — ACG
+> has real AI experience and applies its no-BS ethos to AI. This is the white space
+> (every MSP shouts "AI" as buzzword noise; ACG says "we've actually done this, here's
+> straight help"). Fits the anti-weaponized-ignorance brand exactly.
+
+## Locked decisions
+- **Scope:** all four pillars (below).
+- **Audience:** BOTH — deepen existing clients AND a front door for AI-curious businesses who aren't IT clients yet (growth + retention).
+- **Packaging:** a MIX — workshops (affordable entry) → ongoing advisory retainer (a "vCAIO", like the vCIO) → project-based implementation.
+- **Prominence:** co-equal service — a card in "THE INDEX" (home + services page) + its own detail page, same weight/pattern as the other services. (Homepage nod ok; not a separate sub-brand.)
+
+## The four pillars (become the "what's included" expandable sub-index on the detail page)
+1. **Learn / Training** — hands-on team workshops on real AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.): what they do, how to use them productively, and what NOT to do. The front door; what clients already ask for.
+2. **Advise / Strategy** — a consult to find where AI genuinely helps *their* business vs where it's a waste: real ROI, tool selection, what to skip. The no-BS filter applied to AI.
+3. **Build / Implement** — set up and integrate the tools, workflows, and automations that pass the filter. Hands-on.
+4. **Protect / Govern** — an AI-use policy, data safety (no company data leaking into public models), acceptable-use, and compliance.
+
+## Site work (mirrors the existing detail-page pattern)
+- **THE INDEX card** on the homepage + services.html (a new numbered service; clickable through to the page like the rest). Confirm the homepage index list intent (it currently shows 6 of the services).
+- **Detail page** `ai-consulting.html` (or chosen slug), same template as the others:
+ - page-head: service name + mono kicker + FROM-price + a relevant image (soft-treatment, human/work AI scene, e.g. a team in a workshop / someone using AI at a desk).
+ - **01 What it is** — plain English: honest, practical AI help for real businesses, no hype.
+ - **02 What's included** — the 4 pillars as the educational expand accordion (define + why it matters + soft consult nudge), same as the other pages.
+ - **03 How we deliver / why us** — the honest-guide angle grounded in ACG's REAL AI experience (see open item).
+ - **04 Who it's for + pricing** — the mix packaging with real anchors (see open item).
+ - CTA (talk to a human / book a workshop).
+- **Homepage nod** — a line/mention so it doesn't hide only on the services page.
+
+## Proposed naming / headline (for Mike to confirm)
+- Plain service name: **"AI Consulting"** (clear, searchable). Detail-page headline in the brand voice, e.g. **"AI, without the hype."** Card kicker could be "AI // no hype."
+
+## OPEN — needed from Mike before writing the copy
+1. **Real AI proof / experience** (to ground credibility honestly, no fabrication): what has ACG/Mike actually DONE with AI? e.g. tools deployed for clients (Copilot/M365 AI, automations, custom builds), workshops already given, specific wins or domains, years of hands-on. A few real specifics = the whole credibility of pillar 03.
+2. **Pricing approach** — the site's differentiator is transparent published pricing. Do we publish anchors (e.g. workshop from $X, advisory retainer from $X/mo, implementation quoted) or keep AI as "let's scope your needs"? Recommend publishing at least a workshop price + "advisory from $X/mo" to stay on-brand, but need the numbers.
+3. (minor) Final service name + slug + whether it gets a homepage index card now or later.
+
+## Status
+Scoped, not built. Build after Mike provides the 2 open items above. Tracked in TODO.md.

Real help with AI, minus the hype.
+
Everyone is talking about AI right now, and most of the talk is either breathless hype or a sales pitch for a tool you may not need. We do the opposite. We give you honest, practical help figuring out where AI actually fits your business and, just as importantly, where it does not.
+
That covers the whole range: training your team on the tools they already have, advising you on what is worth doing, building the pieces that make sense, and writing the policy that keeps your data safe. Whether you are an existing client or a business new to us that is simply AI-curious, you start in the same place, with a straight conversation and zero pressure.
+
We will tell you where AI genuinely helps, and just as honestly where it is a waste of your money.

What's included / the concrete list
+
+
Four ways we actually help.
+
+
+
+
+
A workshop is hands-on training where we sit down with your team and show them how to actually use the AI tools they already have, like Copilot and ChatGPT, to get real work done faster. Just as important, we cover what not to do, so nobody pastes something sensitive into the wrong place. It is the easiest and most affordable way to start, and a short consult tells us exactly what your team needs to learn.
+
+
+
+
+
+
This is the no-nonsense filter applied to AI. We look at how your business actually runs and tell you honestly where AI genuinely helps, where it is a waste of money, and which tools are worth the subscription. You can bring us in for a one-time strategy session or keep us on as an ongoing advisor, a kind of virtual AI officer, the same way our vCIO works. If you are not sure where to even begin, that is exactly what a consult is for.
+
+
+
+
+
+
Once we agree on what is worth doing, we set it up for you. That means configuring the tools, connecting them to the systems you already use, and building the small automations that quietly save your team hours every week. Nothing gets built until it passes the honest filter first, and a consult is where we scope what that actually looks like for you.
+
+
+
+
+
+
Governance is the boring but important part: a clear, plain-English policy for how your team uses AI safely. That means keeping company and client data out of public AI models, spelling out acceptable use, and staying on the right side of any compliance rules you answer to. Most businesses have no policy at all right now, which is a real risk, and a consult is a good place to close that gap.
+
+
+
+
The thread through all four is the same one that runs through everything we do: we tell you the truth about what is worth your time and money, and we skip the rest.
+
+

How we deliver it / why it is different
+
+
We made the mistakes first.
+
There is a lot of noise about AI right now, and most of it is trying to sell you something. We took the opposite approach and spent about two years quietly putting AI to work inside our own business before we ever recommended it to a client.
+
We built our own AI-powered operations tooling and our own RMM platform, and we use the mainstream tools like Copilot and Grok every single day. Most of that has been internal, on purpose. We wanted to prove it on ourselves first, so the advice you get is earned instead of borrowed from a vendor's brochure.
+
That caution is the whole point. We already made the expensive mistakes and hit the dead ends, so you do not have to. We will not put anything near your business that we have not lived with ourselves, and if the honest answer is that AI is not worth it for a particular job, we will tell you that just as plainly.
