Email Setup Guide — westerntire.com

Prepared by Arizona Computer Guru • April 2026

What Changed

Your email has been moved to a new mail server. Your email address, password, and all existing messages are unchanged — only the server settings in your email program need to be updated.

If your email stopped working or you are having trouble sending, follow the steps below for your email client.

If you configured Gmail to send or receive your @westerntire.com email, you will need to update those settings too — see the Gmail section below.

New Server Settings

Use these settings for all @westerntire.com accounts:

SettingValue
Incoming server (IMAP)mail.westerntire.com
IMAP port993
IMAP securitySSL / TLS
Incoming server (POP3)mail.westerntire.com
POP3 port995
POP3 securitySSL / TLS
Outgoing server (SMTP)mail.westerntire.com
SMTP port587
SMTP securitySTARTTLS
UsernameYour full email address
PasswordUnchanged — same as before
AuthenticationNormal password
IMAP is recommended over POP3. IMAP keeps your mail on the server so you can access it from multiple devices and your messages stay in sync. POP3 downloads mail to one device and removes it from the server.

Old settings to replace

If you see any of these in your current setup, replace them with mail.westerntire.com:

Gmail — Send/Receive from Your westerntire.com Address

If you use Gmail and have it set up to check or send mail as your @westerntire.com address, you need to update both the mail fetcher (incoming) and the "Send mail as" settings (outgoing).

  1. In Gmail, click the gear icon (top right) → See all settings
  2. Click the Accounts and Import tab
  3. Under "Check mail from other accounts", find your @westerntire.com address and click edit info
  4. Change the mail server to mail.westerntire.com
  5. Port: 995 • Check "Always use a secure connection (SSL)"
  6. Click Save Changes

Step 2 — Update outgoing "Send mail as" (SMTP)

  1. In the same Accounts and Import tab, find your @westerntire.com address under "Send mail as"
  2. Click edit info next to it
  3. Click Next Step
  4. Change the SMTP server to mail.westerntire.com
  5. Port: 587 • Select TLS
  6. Username: your full email address • Password: unchanged
  7. Click Save Changes
After saving, Gmail may send a verification email to your @westerntire.com address to confirm the new settings. Check your inbox and click the confirmation link if prompted.
